Can I escape the ban by modifying the HWID?

EAC will log the serial number of every hard drive plugged to your computer. You have to buy a new one and remove the 2 you already have.

Don't cheat.

On a serious note, format your PC for new HWID and don't use the same phone number (or email) on multiple steam accounts.

EAC bans by hdd serial number and not hwid, so formatting wont do anything.

Thought they used some sort of windows serial thingy, which does get changed after fresh install. Anyway, I thought he was just getting VAC bans from steam.
