Vanilla is definitely the best, its much more enjoyable knowing you worked hard to achieve something you're building or items you're making and the resources needed to make what you need for your base etc instead of mods where you can just earn everything very quickly with little to no effort

Since late 2014 in Rust legacy, since then its been other games now too, once you start you can't stop doing it in survival games especially haha
